On the 30th of September 2025, MediMap is launching an enhancement to enable users to record Sedation Scores. This new feature provides users with vital insights into residents' responses to opioid and sedative medications, empowering safer prescribing and more informed medication management.

Key Features

- Integrated Sedation Assessment Tool (SAT): Sedation Scores are seamlessly built into the medication administration and review workflows, using the industry-standard SAT scale ranging from -3 to +3.

- Comprehensive Resident Monitoring: Sedation Scores appear alongside Pain Scores, offering a holistic view of resident responses to medication.

- Compliance with Australian and New Zealand Standards: Fully aligned with Australian Digital Health Agency guidelines, ensuring regulatory compliance and consistent documentation practices.

Benefits

- Enhanced Clinical Decision-Making: Access to both Sedation and Pain Scores supports informed decisions when prescribing and administering sedatives and opioids.

- Improved Medication Safety: Provides greater visibility into sedation levels, reducing risks associated with over-sedation or under-treatment.

- Streamlined Documentation: Clear and consistent recording of Sedation Scores improves communication and visibility among care teams, ensuring audit readiness.
