On 12 August, MediMap is releasing a powerful new feature to support safer offsite care. When residents are transferred to hospital, you can now generate and upload a Residential Medication Chart RMC directly to My Health Record.
This ensures external providers have an accurate, real-time snapshot of the resident's:
Current medications and administration schedule
Personal details
Medication history from the last 24 hours
It’s all automated — no more manually preparing charts or chasing clinical summaries.
To use the feature:
Mark the resident Offsite – Hospital
Preview and upload the RMC
View all documents from the My Health Record tab in the resident’s chart
🔐 You’ll need HPI-O/HPI-I access, and the resident must have an IHI.
For more info, contact our team or check the Help Centre for our full RMC Guide and FAQs.

This article highlights a significant advancement in offsite care management. By integrating the Residential Medication Chart RMC with My Health Record, it promotes efficiency and accuracy. However, it raises concerns regarding data privacy and the need for robust security measures. As we embrace automation, one must consider the implications on patient safety and the potential oversights that can arise, especially when compared to The Pokies gaming industry, where risks are often overlooked in favor of convenience.
